Liquid Culture Syringe — Shiitake (10 mL)

10 mL sterile syringe of Lentinula edodes (shiitake) liquid culture in our standard light malt extract medium with 20 mg/L phenol red pH indicator.

Inoculate directly into sterilised grain jars (1-2 mL per jar) or onto agar plates for culture maintenance. Our LC medium includes pH indicator so you can visually confirm metabolic activity as the culture acidifies the medium.

Shiitake is a slower coloniser than oyster mushrooms — expect 4-6 weeks for full grain colonisation. Fruits best on supplemented hardwood sawdust logs.

Storage: room temperature for up to 2 weeks, refrigerated for 4-6 weeks.
