10 mL sterile syringe of Pleurotus ostreatus liquid culture in our standard LME medium (20 g/L light malt extract) with phenol red pH indicator at 20 mg/L.
The pH indicator lets you visually confirm metabolic activity — healthy cultures acidify the medium, turning it from red/orange to yellow over 5-10 days. A culture that stays red isn't growing.
Inoculate 1-2 mL per grain jar or LC vessel. Store at room temp for 2 weeks, refrigerated for 4-6 weeks.
